Specific
Morbidities

Morbidity is another term for illness. A person can have several co-morbidities simultaneously. So, morbidities can range from Alzheimer’s to diabetes to heart disease; all of which the Council have taken a role in addressing in our community.

Disinvested
Neighborhoods

Disinvestment in urban and suburban communities tends to fall strongly along racial and class lines and may perpetuate the cycle of poverty exerted upon the space, since more affluent individuals with social mobility can more easily leave disenfranchised area.
The Council is committed to and passionate about uplifting these areas and providing support to those who fall within them.

Education
and Advocacy

These are at the core of all that we have done and will continue to do in this community. Educate and advocate in the spaces we are privileged to occupy on behalf of the community until we can actually bring those community leaders into the space as well.
